I believe that therapy is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. I know from the workshops I've given, the feedback on my books, It’s OK to Start with Youand A Work in Progress: Embracing the Life God Gave You, and the hundreds of clients I've worked with, how rewarding and life-changing the work of therapy can be. I live for those moments when my clients choose to face life's difficult moments with courage and hope.
In my ten years as a counselor, I’ve made it my goal for everyone to experience the transformative power that prioritizing your mental health can bring. So many of my clients say, "Why didn’t I start therapy sooner?" once they've experienced the difference therapy canmake.
My clients are pleasantly surprised to find that laughter and a casual, conversational tone are my preferred way to conduct sessions. Typical sessions are conversational in style but always goal directed! I find that creating an environment where you feel comfortable helps facilitate the greatest insights and lasting change (and an inside joke or two doesn’t hurt).
Clients often comment on my calm presence, so you can expect to feel comfortable and supported from the moment you sit down in my office.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as treatment approaches but I believe the foundation of therapy is building a strong working alliance between therapist and client.

I have been a licensed counselor for over ten years and have received specialized training through Divine Mercy University in how to integrate the foundations of the Catholic/Christian faith with research-backed treatment methods.
In 2018, I founded Vita Optimum Counseling and Consulting, a private group psychotherapy practice that specializes in offering faith-informed counseling services.
I have published two books: It’s Okay to Start with You and A Work in Progress: Embracing the Life God Gave You which are both published by Our Sunday Visitor.
I am currently a PhD candidate for a degree in Counselor Education and Supervision with an expected graduate date of May 2027. My dissertation is examining boundary-setting among counselors.
I am also an adjunct professor with Divine Mercy University where I teach in the counseling department.
The common thread in all of my work is helping individuals live a life that is in alignment with their values so that they can utilize their gifts and fulfill their purpose.

If you’ve been searching for a therapist who values your faith just as much as you do, you’ve come to the right place. I value the importance of your faith in your life and welcome it in our sessions together. I believe that your faith isn’t something you should feel like you have to hide, defend, or explain to your provider.
At my core, I believe that each of my clients is a person imbued with inherent dignity and a unique vocation, and I incorporate these beliefs into my work as a therapists. I am committed to pursuing excellence in our clinical work and client service. And I love finding creative ways to help my clients thrive, becoming their best selves in whatever season of life they are in.
